Atayia Nichols, a 24-year-old woman from Columbus, OH, tragically lost her life on June 15, 2022. Nichols was fatally shot at the Glenwood Community Center, where she had gone to seek relief from the heat. The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m., and despite being rushed to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, Nichols succumbed to her injuries at 5:54 p.m.
