On July 22, 2022, 15-year-old Issa Jeylani, a young Somali male, was tragically shot and killed while playing soccer with friends in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Crossing Green Lane, and despite extensive investigations, no arrests have been made in connection with his death. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the case, urging anyone with information to come forward.
