In the pre-dawn hours of May 1, 2013, 25-year-old Jeremy Thompson was behind the wheel of his Dodge Durango in Detroit, Michigan. He was stopped at a railroad crossing at Seven Mile and Sherwood when his life was abruptly cut short. An armed man approached his vehicle in what authorities believe was an attempted robbery.
