On August 18, 2022, 19-year-old Sincere Moore, a Black male from Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot while attending a memorial for another victim, 21-year-old Lavarr Madison, who had been killed just three days earlier on the same street. Moore was sitting next to the memorial in the front yard of a house on South Ashburton Road when an unidentified person approached and shot him multiple times.
