Duane Edward Penick Jr., a 20-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on December 15, 2018, in Columbus, Ohio. He was discovered shot at the rear of a building located at 1008 E. 17th Ave. The Columbus Division of Police received a call at approximately 7:13 p.m. and arrived at the scene to find Penick Jr. already deceased. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus Fire Medic 13 at 7:20 p.m.
