On July 30, 2021, Todd Burris II, a 41-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot in the 700 block of South Broadleigh Road. When police arrived at the scene, they found Burris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and lower extremities. He was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead at 9:54 p.m. This incident marked the 123rd homicide in Columbus for the year 2021.
