Shayne Darrell Edwards Jr., a 14-year-old African American male from Elyria, OH, tragically passed away on September 12, 2022, from a gunshot wound he suffered at his home. Shayne was found unresponsive by Elyria police officers early in the morning and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was investigated as a possible homicide, with five people present in the house at the time of the shooting.
