On December 8, 2022, Branden Morris, a 37-year-old white male from Columbus, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed in a double homicide on Marland Drive North. Morris was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:53 p.m., while the other victim, 45-year-old Matthew Scheurell, was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition but later pronounced dead at 7:21 p.m.
