Clayton Desmond Batchelor Jr., a 14-year-old African American boy, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2012, in Henderson, North Carolina. Clayton, affectionately known as C.J. in his neighborhood, was shot and killed while riding his bike home from a friend's house in the early hours of the morning.
