Devonta Jaquan Eburg, an 18-year-old African American male from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on June 13, 2014. The incident occurred during an overnight shooting in the 700 block of Branch Street, where residents reported hearing gunfire around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police officers found Devonta Eburg and another victim, a 17-year-old, suffering from gunshot wounds.
