On June 26, 2024, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the Rocky Mount Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 1100 block of Cypress Street in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Jeffrey Jerome Fenner Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services from Edgecombe County pronounced him dead at the scene.
