Robert Earl Demory, a 16-year-old black male, was tragically shot and killed on September 22, 1977, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He had just returned home from out of state and was last seen getting off the bus at the Rocky Mount Trailways Bus Depot on South Washington Street. His body was found in the parking lot of London Mills in the 500 block of Paul Street. A dark-colored car was seen leaving the parking lot shortly after the incident.
