James Blade, a 62-year-old pastor, was tragically killed on October 26, 2013, in Detroit, Michigan. The incident occurred at a Charter One Bank drive-thru located on East Warren Avenue at Outer Drive. As Blade pulled up to the window in his pink BMW, an assailant approached the passenger side of his vehicle and fired six shots into the car.
