Shakeem Ray Dickens, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically found dead on November 22, 2014, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 11:16 a.m. in the 3900 block of Bristol Drive, where Dickens was discovered lying in the woods. Upon arrival, Medic personnel pronounced him dead from a gunshot wound. The investigation into his death led to the arrest of Joseph Gerell Banks, a 23-year-old male, who was already in custody for unrelated charges at the Mecklenburg Coun ...
