Channing Byers, a 34-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 29, 2020, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred late at night on Trinity Road, where Byers was found with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department launched a homicide investigation immediately following the incident.
