Juan Carlos Crisante Gutierrez, 18, was found dead on January 3, 2004, at the Dominion Pepper Tree Apartments on Central Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina. A friend who came to visit discovered his body and notified the apartment management, who then called the police.
