On February 21, 2015, Black male Demarcus Adams, age 28, stood outside in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood when a gunman walked up and opened fire, striking him in the back and leg on the 4600 block of North Malden.
The shooter fled in a silver car, leaving Adams, of the 4400 block of North Racine, mortally wounded; he was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m. that evening.
