Samil Bates, a 28-year-old male, tragically lost his life on March 27, 2015, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a call at around 9:30 PM on the 3700 block of Pauline Lane, where they found Bates lying in the driveway with an apparent gunshot wound.
