Marcus Montrell McLean, a 29-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on September 13, 2015, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when police responded to a call of shots fired in the 800 block of Crawford Street. Upon arrival, officers found McLean lying face down in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
