Jarvis Mandrell Benson, a 28-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on December 4, 2015, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was one of three victims found dead inside a home on China Grove Church Road. The other victims were Naquavis Aqueece Benson, 29, and Javarius Deshawn McGee, 30, both of whom also succumbed to gunshot wounds.

The investigation into their deaths revealed that the incident was not a random act of violence but was instead related to drug activities. Two suspects, Antonio Lafloyd Robinson and Jovon Raymar Twitty, both 34 years old, were arrested and charged with three counts of murder. Robinson was apprehended in Lancaster, South Carolina, while Twitty was taken into custody in Charlotte. The investigation took nearly eight weeks, involving extensive tracking of leads and interrogations before warrants were issued for their arrests.

The families of the victims expressed their grief and relief after the arrests. During a prayer vigil held at China Grove AME Zion Church, the mother of the Benson brothers spoke about the pain of losing her sons and her determination to fight for future generations. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department emphasized that nothing the victims were involved in justified the actions taken against them.

The case remains an active investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
