Rashawn Maurice McInnis, a 33-year-old African American man from Laurinburg, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on December 6, 2015. The incident occurred early in the morning when McInnis and another man, Allan McGill, were sitting in a vehicle parked outside McInnis' house on Vance Street. A man approached the vehicle and began shooting, resulting in McInnis' death and injuries to McGill. A third person, Deidre Easterling, was also in the vehicle but was unharmed.
