Tevin Kendrick, a 22-year-old African American male from Durham, North Carolina, was found dead on January 18, 2016, in the parking lot of the Efland-Cheeks Community Center in Efland, NC. His body was discovered near a white Nissan with multiple gunshot wounds on his torso. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., and witnesses reported hearing several gunshots in rapid succession. Authorities believe that Kendrick, who had a criminal history, was targeted in this shooting.
