On April 16, 2023, at approximately 4:07 a.m., Moore County Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Jeans Loop Road in Pinebluff, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Gregory Savalas Allbrooks suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators identified the shooter as Gregory's nephew, 23-year-old Tyheem Alzia Allbrooks, who resided at the same address. Tyheem was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a stolen firearm. He was held without bond at the Moore County Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in court on April 26, 2023.
