Travis Speller, 31, male, Black/African American, was killed in an early-morning shooting on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Windsor, North Carolina. Deputies with the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 1000 block of Indian Woods Road and found Travis Speller, 31, deceased at the scene. The State Bureau of Investigation assisted as detectives began interviewing witnesses and people believed to have been involved, working to reconstruct what happened in the dark hours before dawn.
