On the evening of April 29, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 40-year-old Richard Callander was fatally shot in a drive-by incident outside his residence at 601 Ghent Street in Windsor, North Carolina. He was among a group of people when multiple shots were fired from a passing vehicle. Another individual, identified as Derrick Vaughan, sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
