Myles David Penix, a 27-year-old Black male, was tragically shot and killed on March 19, 2016, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The incident occurred just before midnight at his residence on Lands End Road. Penix was in a room with a known associate when he was shot once in the chest. The Fayetteville Police Department quickly identified the suspect as Ryan Daniel Walker, a 24-year-old fellow soldier from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Bragg.
