Death by Force

On September 21, 2024, at approximately 1:52 a.m., Fayetteville police responded to a shooting at the Anubis Hookah Lounge located on Ramsey Street. Upon arrival, officers found 25-year-old Elijah Bryce Wyand suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Another individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was also injured during the incident and was reported to be in fair condition.
