Lanaris Dashawn Isabell, a 21-year-old African American male, was found shot to death in East Charlotte on March 31, 2016. Officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon on Atmore Street around 1:00 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Lanaris Isabell suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
