On July 9, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., 58-year-old Mustaffa Muhammad was fatally shot while driving home from work on Statesville Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina. A vehicle pulled alongside his car, and the occupants opened fire, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
