Kevin David Powell, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on July 18, 2016, in Durham, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Linwood Avenue. The Durham Police Department launched an investigation into the murder and identified two suspects: Malik Shequan Boyce, 36, of Wilkins Road in Bahama, and Larry Lee James, 38, of Tar River Road in Creedmoor. Both individuals were charged with murder in connection to Kevin David Powell's death.
