Eric Eugene Huff, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 12, 2016, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Huff was one of two men shot in the area of Metting Road on that fateful Monday night. The Wilmington Police Department reported that officers were called to the 3600 block of Metting Road around 8:25 p.m. after the city’s automated gunfire detection systems registered gunshots in the area.
