George Porter, a 56-year-old male from Wilmington, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on January 5, 2020. The incident occurred during a botched robbery attempt at his residence on South 4th Street. Erik Gibbs, a 29-year-old man, was later identified as the suspect. Gibbs knocked on the door, entered the residence, and began shooting, which resulted in Porter's death and critically injured another man.
