Michelle Deanne Sperry Carncross, born on April 2, 1966, in Orange County, California, tragically lost her life on July 18, 1984, in San Ysidro, California. At the young age of 18, Michelle was one of the victims of the infamous McDonald's massacre, a mass shooting that shocked the nation. On that fateful day, a gunman named James Huberty entered a McDonald's restaurant in the San Ysidro neighborhood and opened fire, killing 21 people and injuring 19 others.
