Kartrina Wright, a 35-year-old African American woman from Durham, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on May 12, 2017. The incident occurred in her home on Golden Crest Drive, where she was critically injured in an attempted murder-suicide. The perpetrator, 32-year-old Torrey Price, was found dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. Wright was transported to Duke Medical Center, where she remained in critical condition until she passed away later that night.
