Janarion Kaverio Knox, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 31, 2017, in Hickory, North Carolina. Knox was found dead alongside 18-year-old Branique Stephan McKnight, also an African American male, at an apartment complex in Hickory. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when police responded to a call about a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered both Knox and McKnight with fatal gunshot wounds.
