Jamie Bright, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 15, 2018, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Jamie was a promising young athlete, having been a member of the Harding University High School football team that won the state championship in 2017. His untimely death was the result of a gunshot wound, which he sustained in the early hours of the morning on Clanton Road.
