On November 30, 2024, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 4100 block of Revolution Park Drive in southwest Charlotte. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Levi Mendez-Maldonado suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
