Jonathan Vereen, a 35-year-old African American male, was tragically shot dead inside a North Charlotte home on September 16, 2016. The incident occurred at a boarding house located off Hubbard Road. Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service at 4424 Hubbard Road, where they found Vereen suffering from a gunshot wound.
