Shakier Henderson, a 21-year-old African American male, was found dead on January 4, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina. His body was discovered on a trail behind an apartment complex off W.T. Harris Boulevard. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department received a call around 7:30 a.m. and located Henderson's body during a welfare check. He was pronounced dead at the scene, having suffered a gunshot wound.
