On July 27, 1974, Patricia Franklin, a 30-year-old nurse residing in Linda Vista, California, was tragically murdered in her home. That evening, Billy Lee Chadd, who had intended to commit a burglary, broke into her residence. Upon discovering Patricia Franklin, a 30-year-old Caucasian woman, in her bathtub, Chadd's intentions turned more sinister.
