Tyshawn Izayiah Rodney Levar Boyd, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 23, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of West Sugar Creek Road, near I-85, around 3:53 p.m. A MEDIC unit in the area discovered Boyd suffering from a gunshot wound on the side of the road. He was transported to Atrium Main hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
