Ashford Trokon Peal Jr., a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 9, 2021, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early afternoon at an apartment complex on Parkland Circle, just off E. W.T. Harris Boulevard near Albemarle Road. Ashford was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into his death.
