On October 3, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., 22-year-old Derrick Baker was fatally shot in a triple shooting incident on Tom Hunter Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers found Baker deceased at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.
