Artist Daeshun Torrence, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 13, 2019, in Shelby, North Carolina. Torrence was killed by a bullet fired into his car. The autopsy report revealed that a medium-caliber gun fired from a distance was used to inflict the mortal wound. Torrence was found by police officers slumped over the center console of an SUV in a pool of blood. He was rushed to Atrium Health Cleveland, where he was pronounced dead.
