On the evening of March 17, 2015, a tragedy unfolded on the east side of Detroit that left a family shattered and a community searching for answers. Ditwan Morgan, a 41-year-old African-American mother of two, was fatally shot as she was entering her home in the 10000 block of Bonita, near Hayes and Outer Drive. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m.
