Dariel Danate Reid, a 15-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 13, 2020, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 400 block of West Grice Street, where Dariel sustained a gunshot wound. He was initially transported to Sentara Albemarle Hospital and later transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Despite the medical efforts, Dariel was placed on a ventilator and eventually taken off it on January 15, 2020.
