Herbert Lee Goodson, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on June 24, 2020, in Spring Lake, North Carolina. The incident occurred during an attempted robbery at Splash Hair Studio on North Bragg Boulevard. Goodson was outside the salon with two friends when a gunman confronted them, leading to a shootout. Goodson had withdrawn $1,200 from an ATM just 30 minutes before the shooting and had returned to work at the salon. The confrontation resulted in Goodson's death and a non ...
