Demarcus Smith, a 30-year-old African American male from Walstonburg, NC, was found dead on August 8, 2020, in Cameron, NC. The Harnett County Sheriff's deputies discovered his body alongside that of Carson Adkins, a 21-year-old male from Snow Hill, NC. Both men had been shot multiple times, and their deaths were ruled as homicides.
