Ashanti Bellamy, a 22-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 17, 2021, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was six months pregnant at the time of her death. Bellamy was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the middle of Ridge Road along with her boyfriend, Gharen Terry. Both were taken to a hospital where Bellamy later succumbed to her injuries, and her unborn child also died. Terry was treated and released after sustaining injuries from the attack.
