On a Tuesday morning, June 10, 1980, the life of Paul Douglas Cappo took a mysterious turn. The 29-year-old man was last seen by his wife as she left their Kansas City, Missouri, home for work. Later that day, he departed from their residence at 3720 Thompson Avenue, reportedly on his way to Las Vegas, Nevada. He was driving a dark blue, four-door 1977 Plymouth with a Kansas license plate and noticeable damage to the front fender.
